  • • As a Territory Account Executive for Block, Inc. in Lake Charles, LA, you will drive local market growth by selling Square’s integrated commerce and financial solutions to restaurants, retailers, and service-based businesses. This role is critical to expanding Square’s footprint through authentic, in-person engagement that empowers sellers with tools for payments, inventory, buy now pay later, appointments, loyalty, and payroll—all embedded at the point of sale.
  • • Day to day, you will sell face-to-face 80% of the time, conduct 50–60 drop-ins weekly to prospective sellers, build referral channels through active Square sellers and local partners, demo and onboard Square hardware and software, collaborate with onboarding and account management teams to ensure successful implementation, and use Salesforce to track pipeline, activities, and outcomes while striving to exceed monthly sales goals and KPIs.
  • • You will join Block’s newly established field sales organization, working within a mission-driven company that has evolved from enabling simple payments to delivering omnichannel solutions for sellers of all sizes—from startups to enterprise—helping them access loans, manage cash flow, and compete at scale through integrated tools like Afterpay, Square, and Cash App.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in vertical-specific sales (restaurants, retail, services), master complex deal cycles, refine your hunter-style field sales approach, build lasting local partnerships, and grow your ability to strategize and execute market penetration plans—positioning you for advancement in sales leadership or specialized vertical roles within Block’s expanding ecosystem.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role with field sales experience
  • • Proven ability to exceed sales targets and close complex deals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • • Business development experience including hunting, cold calling, and lead generation
  • • Reliable transportation and residency in the Lake Charles, LA market being served
  • • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM proficiency
