- • As a Territory Sales Manager at WEX Inc., you will be entrusted with a pivotal, quota-carrying role designed to ignite substantial growth across a designated territory within the North East region of the United States. This position is strategically crafted for individuals who possess a proven track record in driving high-impact sales, particularly within the small to mid-sized HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical contractor segments. You will be instrumental in navigating and closing complex sales cycles, demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of client needs and WEX's comprehensive suite of solutions.
- • Your responsibilities will extend beyond individual sales achievements. You will also serve as a mentor to less experienced sales professionals, sharing your expertise and best practices to elevate the overall performance of the sales team. Furthermore, you will actively contribute to the development of broader territory strategies, ensuring alignment with WEX's overarching business objectives and market penetration goals.
- • This role is ideal for those who aspire to leadership. You will be recognized as a top performer and an emerging leader within the organization, acting as a crucial link between the sales field and regional sales leadership. Your insights and experiences will be invaluable in shaping future sales initiatives and preparing you for advanced leadership opportunities.
- • The territory encompasses a significant geographical area, including ME, NH, VT, CT, RI, NY, PA, VA, MD, DE, WV, KY, IN, OH, and MI. This expansive reach offers a substantial opportunity to build and manage a robust sales pipeline.
- • **Territory Growth & Strategic Selling:**
- • You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive territory growth plan, with a specific focus on acquiring and expanding relationships with larger, more complex, or multi-location contractor accounts.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to cultivate deep, consultative relationships with business owners and operational leaders within these contractor firms. This involves a thorough understanding of their unique business challenges, operational workflows, and strategic objectives to effectively present tailored Payzer solutions.
- • You will need to demonstrate fluency in navigating multi-stakeholder sales cycles, adeptly presenting the value proposition across WEX's diverse product lines, which include scheduling, invoicing, payment processing, financing options, and robust reporting capabilities.
- • **Full-Cycle Sales Execution:**
- • You will independently manage the entire sales process, from initial prospecting and in-depth discovery calls to crafting compelling solution presentations, developing detailed proposals, and ultimately closing deals.
- • A proactive approach to driving outbound sales activities, coupled with effective management of inbound leads, will be critical to maximizing territory penetration and achieving high win rates.
- • Maintaining an accurate, dynamic, and up-to-date sales pipeline is essential, utilizing Salesforce and other designated sales engagement tools to track progress and forecast effectively.
- • **Ownership & Collaboration:**
- • You will work in close partnership with your Regional Sales Manager and the Marketing team to refine go-to-market strategies. This collaboration will also involve establishing and maintaining effective feedback loops from the field to inform strategic adjustments.
- • You are expected to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes, messaging frameworks, and sales playbooks. This will be achieved through collaborative discussions, sharing best practices, and leveraging data-informed insights to enhance overall sales effectiveness.
- • **Performance & Development:**
- • Consistently achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets is paramount, with a strong emphasis on securing quality deals that deliver long-term value for both the client and WEX.
- • You will take proactive ownership of your professional development, actively engaging in leadership development programs, advanced sales training opportunities, and cross-functional initiatives that broaden your skill set and industry knowledge.
- • This role is designed as a stepping stone for career advancement, preparing you for future leadership positions such as Regional Sales Manager, Strategic Accounts Manager, or Team Lead within WEX.
