  • The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly strategic and hands-on Total Rewards Leader to spearhead the evolution of our global compensation and benefits programs. Reporting directly to the Head of People Operations and Programs, this pivotal role is designed as a 'player-coach' position. You will be instrumental in building upon and refining the foundational architecture of our compensation structure, including job leveling, salary bands, and our equity strategy, all of which are critical for scaling our business effectively.
  • Your strategic vision will be key in crafting our evolving total rewards strategy, complemented by your ability to administer these programs efficiently. While initially a team of one, you will collaborate closely with a broad ecosystem of internal partners. You will deliver impactful work in close partnership with the wider People function and the Finance department, demonstrating exceptional collaboration skills to drive results with colleagues across the organization. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. We are looking for an individual who can not only manage compensation administration but also passionately educate employees on the comprehensive value of their total compensation package, moving beyond mere numerical figures.
  • Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Global Compensation Strategy: Design, implement, and manage our global compensation philosophy, ensuring SandboxAQ remains highly competitive within the specialized AI Deep Tech market. This encompasses the strategic oversight of base salary structures, long-term incentive (LTI) equity programs, and variable incentive plans.
  • Annual Compensation Cycles: Own and meticulously manage the end-to-end annual processes for merit increases, performance-based bonuses, and equity reviews. You will partner closely with Finance, HR Business Partners, and Business Leaders to facilitate budgeting processes and equip managers with the necessary tools and insights to make informed, data-driven compensation decisions.
  • Job Architecture and Career Development: Elevate and maintain our scalable job leveling framework and comprehensive career ladders. Your work will ensure that every employee has clear visibility into their growth trajectory and understands how their compensation aligns with their contributions and impact within the company.
  • Global Benefits and Wellness Programs: Grow, refine, and lead our existing global benefits strategy, ensuring its effectiveness across multiple international locations (including the US, UK, France, and others). This involves managing broker relationships, leading annual renewal negotiations, and ensuring our benefits and perks portfolio actively supports and reflects our high-performance culture.
  • Executive and Equity Compensation Design: Collaborate closely with senior leadership to manage executive compensation packages and sophisticated equity pool modeling. You will also provide crucial support for the administration of these programs.
  • Compliance and Transparency Initiatives: Guarantee adherence to all relevant global compliance regulations, including Pay Transparency acts, FLSA, and GDPR. You will also spearhead the communication strategy to foster transparency, build trust, and ensure employees fully understand and appreciate our total rewards programs.
  • Employee Education and Engagement: Develop and deliver compelling communications and educational materials that articulate the full value proposition of our total rewards, enhancing employee understanding and appreciation of their compensation, benefits, and equity.
