- • The Transcript Credit Evaluator plays a vital role in supporting student success by ensuring accurate and fair evaluation of academic credits from diverse educational backgrounds, directly impacting admissions, enrollment, and academic progression at University of the Cumberlands.
- • This role is essential to maintaining academic integrity and compliance with institutional policies while facilitating seamless transfer experiences for traditional and non-traditional learners.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating transfer credits from regionally and nationally accredited institutions, assessing course equivalencies using articulation agreements and academic policies.
- • Processing course substitutions and evaluating non-traditional credit sources such as AP, CLEP, DSST, military training, and experiential learning in accordance with university guidelines.
- • Collaborating with faculty and external institutions to research and verify complex transfer cases, ensuring accuracy and consistency in credit awarding.
- • Maintaining and updating the articulation database and ERP systems with verified transfer equivalents, while recommending process improvements based on operational insights.
- • Supporting the development and execution of communication strategies for transfer students, keeping stakeholders informed throughout the evaluation process.
- • Serving as a liaison between Admissions, Academic Affairs, Records and Registration, and other departments to resolve credit-related inquiries and facilitate approvals.
- • Managing the [email protected] email account, responding promptly and professionally to internal and external partners regarding transfer credit questions.
- • Participating in institutional committees and meetings as needed, contributing to policy discussions and cross-functional initiatives.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- • Minimum of three years of experience in a higher education setting, with at least one year directly related to transcript evaluation, transfer credit, or academic records
- • Strong understanding of curriculum structures, common course numbering, and articulation agreements
- • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences
- • Proven attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy
- • Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills, with experience supporting students, faculty, and external partners
