📋 Description

  • Crusoe Energy Systems is at the forefront of the AI revolution, developing sustainable technology to power a world where ambitious AI creation is possible without compromising scale, speed, or sustainability. We are a fast-growing, well-funded technology company seeking to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As we continue our rapid expansion, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Travel Manager to join our team in San Francisco, CA.
  • In this critical role, you will be instrumental in overseeing and optimizing our global travel program. Your primary focus will be the day-to-day administration of our corporate travel platform, ensuring strict adherence to company travel policies, cultivating strong relationships with our travel vendors, and providing an exceptional, seamless, and cost-effective travel experience for all Crusoe employees. This position requires a proactive operator who can expertly balance a service-oriented approach with the necessity of policy enforcement, meticulous data tracking, and continuous process improvement, all while championing both employee well-being and overarching business objectives.
  • Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of essential functions. You will be the central administrator and manager of Crusoe’s corporate travel platform. This includes managing system configurations, providing comprehensive user support, overseeing approval workflows, and generating insightful reports. A key aspect of your role will be ensuring that all travel activities align with company policies. You will achieve this by diligently monitoring bookings, addressing any deviations from policy, and offering clear, constructive guidance to employees regarding out-of-policy activity. This proactive approach will help maintain compliance and manage costs effectively.
  • You will serve as the primary point of contact for all travel-related inquiries, escalations, and urgent travel needs. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to respond promptly and effectively to diverse situations. Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with our travel vendors and other key partners is paramount. Your efforts here will ensure smooth operational execution and secure competitive pricing, contributing directly to the financial health of the travel program.
  • A significant part of your role will involve data analysis and reporting. You will meticulously track and report on all travel expenditures, identify emerging trends, and proactively recommend process improvements designed to enhance cost efficiency and bolster compliance. Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for the travel program, such as policy compliance rates, cost savings achieved, and platform adoption rates, will be crucial. You will then present regular, comprehensive reports on these metrics to leadership, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • To support our growth, you will proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement them to ensure the scalability and efficiency of the travel program as the company continues to expand. This includes developing and maintaining clear, accessible documentation, FAQs, and employee communications regarding travel policies and procedures, ensuring all employees have the information they need to travel compliantly and efficiently.
  • You will also partner cross-functionally with various departments, including Finance, People (HR), and Security. This collaboration is vital for aligning travel practices with established budget controls and upholding our duty-of-care standards, ensuring the safety and security of our traveling employees. Your role is pivotal in creating a travel program that is not only efficient and cost-effective but also supportive of Crusoe's mission and values, contributing to a positive and productive work environment for everyone.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and refine a critical business function within a rapidly growing, mission-driven company. If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence and a proven ability to manage complex travel programs, we encourage you to apply and become an integral part of Crusoe's journey.

🎯 Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing high-volume bookings and reporting.
  • Comfort operating independently while escalating appropriately to leadership.
  • Data-oriented mindset with experience tracking spend and identifying savings opportunities.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a customer-service approach balanced with policy accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
