Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own and evolve Fanvue’s content policy to balance creator freedom with platform safety in a high-growth AI-powered monetisation environment.
  • • Translate policy into enforceable guidance for moderation teams, AI classifiers, and automated systems, including designing and iterating LLM prompts for content classification and risk detection.
  • • Proactively identify emerging content behaviours, edge cases, and product changes, updating policy before issues scale across the platform.
  • • Establish and lead a lightweight but audit-ready policy review cadence with defined inputs, owners, decision logs, and changelogs to ensure consistency and accountability.
  • • Collaborate daily with Engineering to tune ML classifiers and enforcement logic, ensuring policy intent aligns with automated moderation outcomes.
  • • Partner with Product teams to assess risk associated with new features and ensure Trust & Safety considerations are embedded in product development cycles.
  • • Work closely with Legal to align policy with evolving regulatory requirements including the Online Safety Act, EU DSA, EU AI Act, Ofcom Codes, and CSAM detection frameworks.
  • • Provide clear, practical documentation for moderators that enables consistent application of policy while withstanding external scrutiny and audits.
  • • Use data-driven methods—basic statistical analysis, trend monitoring, and QA signals—to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of policy decisions.
  • • Contribute across the broader Trust & Safety function in a small, fast-moving team, taking ownership of cross-functional initiatives without formal authority.
  • • Maintain a strong understanding of UGC and adult content ecosystems, applying practical experience to real-world moderation challenges.
  • • Treat LLM-based moderation as a policy lever, not just a technical tool, and continuously refine prompts and classification boundaries to improve enforcement accuracy.
  • • Build a policy function from scratch that scales with rapid growth, rather than maintaining an existing framework.
  • • Communicate nuanced policy decisions in simple, actionable language that moderators, engineers, and partners can reliably implement.
  • • Drive outcomes through influence and ownership, not hierarchy, ensuring policy decisions translate into measurable enforcement results.
  • • Stay current on global regulatory frameworks and industry standards such as StopNCII, and apply them contextually to Fanvue’s creator platform.
  • • Prioritise enforcement outcomes over theoretical policy perfection, ensuring rules are not only well-written but practically executable at scale.
  • • Operate with autonomy in ambiguous environments, making principled calls with incomplete information and adapting policy rapidly as technology and regulation evolve.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years in content policy or Trust & Safety policy at a tech company
  • • Proven experience with ML-driven moderation: writing classifier-ready policy, evaluating performance vs. intent, iterating when outcomes diverge
  • • Experience with LLM-based moderation (prompting for classification and ongoing prompt iteration)
  • • Ability to write clear, practical policy documentation that is easy to enforce and audit-ready
  • • Strong data literacy: using basic stats, trend analysis, and QA signals to judge policy impact
  • • Confidence influencing cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Legal, Moderation) without formal authority

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Remote work with access to a London office
  • • Opportunity to build a Trust & Safety policy function from scratch at a fast-growing, $200M+ ARR platform
  • • Direct collaboration with Head of Trust & Safety and leadership teams
  • • Fast-paced environment where policy decisions can ship in days, not quarters
  • • Work on novel problems at the intersection of AI-generated content, creator monetisation, and global regulation
  • • Recognised as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025
