- • Serve as a Turkish-English Video-Phone Interpreter, facilitating real-time verbal interpretation between Turkish and English speakers across critical industries including healthcare, 911, law enforcement, court, government, insurance, finance, and education.
- • Deliver accurate, concise, and culturally sensitive interpretations during live video and audio sessions, ensuring no omissions or additions to the original message while adhering to established interpretation protocols.
- • Maintain a professional, neutral, and courteous demeanor throughout all interpreting sessions, regardless of emotional intensity or complexity of content, including sensitive topics such as end-of-life care, pregnancy termination, or matters involving gender expression.
- • Respond promptly to on-demand interpreting requests and remain available during scheduled work hours, adapting to fluctuating call volumes and extended call durations without breaks when necessary.
- • Utilize a dedicated personal device—such as a laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone—with supported operating systems (Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, or Android) to access and operate LanguageLine’s interpretation platforms.
- • Participate in mandatory paid professional training and continuous development programs to enhance interpreting skills, industry-specific terminology, and compliance with ASTM and ISO standards.
- • Type data accurately and efficiently on the assigned device during interpreting sessions to support client requirements and documentation needs.
- • Work from a secure, quiet home office environment free from background noise or distractions to ensure confidentiality and quality of service.
- • Demonstrate strong cultural competency by recognizing regional dialects, accents, and cultural nuances to effectively communicate with Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals.
- • Remain detached and objective during interactions, avoiding any direct engagement with LEP individuals beyond the scope of the interpreting assignment without explicit client permission.
- • Adhere to strict confidentiality and client-specific protocols across all industries served, including medical, legal, and emergency response contexts.
- • Stay current with and adapt to all technology enhancements implemented by LanguageLine Solutions to improve service delivery and meet evolving client demands.
- • Operate a headset for prolonged periods and maintain a stationary position in front of a computer and webcam for the majority of the workday.
- • Use a keyboard and mouse with sufficient manual dexterity to type accurately and perform all job-related functions.
- • Maintain punctuality, reliability, and consistent attendance to meet performance and service level expectations.

🎯 Requirements
- • Native or near-native fluency in Turkish and English with demonstrated proficiency in cultural dynamics of both languages
- • Ability to concentrate, remain neutral, and handle emotionally intense or high-stress situations (e.g., 911 calls, medical emergencies)
- • High school diploma or equivalent
- • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
- • Access to a dedicated personal device (laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone) running Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, or Android
- • Reliable high-speed internet with minimum download speeds of 5 Mbps, upload speeds of 3 Mbps, ping ≤ 300 ms, and jitter ≤ 30 ms
