đź“‹ Description

  • • Zenara Health is seeking a highly skilled and innovative UI/UX Designer to join our pioneering AI-native healthcare SaaS company. This role is pivotal in shaping the user experience for our cutting-edge mental wellness platform, designed to enhance accessibility and quality of care through the integration of AI and professional clinical services. As our dedicated designer, you will own the entire visual and interaction layer of our products, working closely with the Product lead to translate strategic direction into intuitive and powerful user interfaces.
  • • The core challenge of this role lies in designing for clinicians who are managing complex psychiatric conditions. The interface must be seamless, requiring no learning curve and minimal cognitive load, providing them with precisely the information needed to make critical clinical decisions. This means making sophisticated AI tools feel simple and accessible to users who are experts in medicine, not software. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our technology empowers, rather than hinders, their vital work.
  • • Your responsibilities will span across all Zenara products, including our assessment tools, care and practice management systems, and the overarching platform layer. This includes designing for multiple user personas, such as psychiatrists, practice managers, patients, and billing staff, each with distinct needs, workflows, and levels of technical proficiency. You will be responsible for creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for every screen, interaction, and state within these products.
  • • A key differentiator for this role is the expectation of AI-native design workflows. You will leverage AI tools and advanced prompting techniques to rapidly explore, iterate, and validate design ideas. The emphasis is on speed to a usable product, prioritizing swift iteration over exhaustive pixel-perfect mockups. You will produce "good enough to build" design direction quickly, understanding that engineering will refine and enhance these designs in code, often with AI-assisted development. AI will be your partner in accelerating concept generation, exploring design variants, and iterating on copy, enabling you to achieve shippable UX in days rather than weeks.
  • • You will drive UX experimentation and data-driven iteration by defining UX hypotheses and evaluating feature adoption through quantitative signals. This involves partnering closely with product and engineering teams to design and interpret UX experiments, such as A/B tests and phased rollouts. Extracting actionable insights from usage data will be crucial for informing design iterations, moving beyond qualitative feedback to rely on hard metrics that demonstrate what truly works.
  • • Maintaining and evolving the Zenara design system is another critical aspect of this role. You will define and standardize components, patterns, and design tokens to ensure consistency across all products while accommodating specific product needs. This systematic approach will underpin the scalability and maintainability of our user interfaces.
  • • Conducting user research and usability testing with actual clinical users will be essential. You will interview psychiatrists, observe their workflows, identify pain points, and validate design decisions with direct user feedback. A deep understanding of clinical workflows is necessary to design interfaces that naturally support these processes, ensuring that the user experience is both efficient and empathetic.
  • • Designing for accessibility (WCAG compliance) and responsive layouts is a non-negotiable requirement, ensuring that our interfaces are usable by individuals with disabilities and function flawlessly across various devices and screen sizes.
  • • Close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams is paramount. You will work within rapid iteration cycles, balancing design ideals with engineering constraints and ensuring that designs are implementable and shipped on time. Engineering will often refine and improve designs directly in code, a process you will facilitate and embrace.
  • • Finally, you will be at the forefront of AI interaction design, creating intuitive AI-powered patterns such as chat interfaces, displays for AI-generated content, recommendation engines, and automated workflows. Your designs will focus on making AI features feel natural, trustworthy, and beneficial to clinical users.
  • • Your first 90 days will involve immersing yourself in the product, conducting user interviews, reviewing existing designs, and experimenting with AI design tools. You will establish the design system foundation, begin redesigning high-priority screens, and ship initial designs for engineering iteration. By month three, you will have shipped design improvements, conducted usability testing, run UX experiments, and analyzed adoption metrics to inform further iterations. Your ongoing contribution will be to continuously improve product design, grow the design system, and instill confidence in the effectiveness and velocity of our design practices.
