📋 Description

• As an Underwriter (Home Improvement Loans) at Tandem Bank, you will play a vital role in supporting sustainable digital banking by assessing loan applications and ensuring fair customer outcomes in line with FCA and regulatory standards.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and processing home improvement finance applications, managing customer communications via phone and email, identifying complaints, adhering to KPIs, completing required training, and adapting to rotating shifts including weekends.

• In this role, you will develop expertise in financial underwriting, regulatory compliance (FCA, CCA, GDPR), customer complaint handling, and performance-driven banking, while contributing to team and company objectives through consistent adherence to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.

🎯 Requirements

• Evidenced underwriting experience
• Previous experience in UK-based financial services with regulatory awareness (FCA, CCA, GDPR) is desirable
• Based in the UK within a commutable distance to Cardiff
• Working knowledge of administrative tasks and call handling
• Demonstrable understanding of how individual performance impacts wider company objectives
