- • The Underwriting Assistant at TIH Insurance Services, LLC plays a critical role in supporting the underwriting process by ensuring accurate policy issuance, timely invoicing, and proactive issue resolution for new and renewal accounts, directly contributing to client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include underwriting renewal business with minimal supervision, explaining liability and program coverages to clients, managing account documentation, processing policy servicing requests (endorsements, audits, cancellations), conducting ratings, invoicing new and renewal binders, maintaining underwriting and suspense files, and providing guidance to Underwriting Clerks and Policy Typists.

🎯 Requirements
- • College degree with a concentration in business or equivalent work experience
- • One year of wholesale insurance experience
- • State-specific Insurance License required
- • Underwriting Clerk experience or three years of general insurance experience
- • Ability to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies
- • Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
- • Proficiency with company automation tools: Windows, Delphi, Word, DocuCorp, and Rackley ISO Rating Software
- • Ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships
- • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- • Good written and verbal communication skills
- • Ability to work extended hours when necessary
