📋 Description

• The Underwriting Compliance Specialist plans and conducts audits of underwriting processes to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and industry standards, identifying key risk areas and driving improvements in underwriting practices.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing audit procedures, conducting regular audits of underwriting, policy issuance, and claims handling, evaluating risks, maintaining accurate records, preparing compliance reports, and communicating findings to stakeholders such as underwriters, brokers, and management.
• The role is part of Ryan Specialty’s compliance and quality assurance function, supporting a culture of regulatory adherence and continuous improvement in underwriting operations across a diverse and inclusive workplace.
• The specialist will gain deep expertise in insurance underwriting compliance, risk assessment, audit methodologies, and regulatory reporting, while developing skills in stakeholder communication and process enhancement that support career growth in insurance compliance and risk management.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Insurance Industry or Underwriting with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Finance, Business Operations, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Prescribed state P&C and/or surplus line licenses are required; Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is preferred.
