📋 Description

• • The Underwriting Director is a senior leadership role responsible for managing underwriting production, quality, and people leadership at Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, reporting directly to the Associate (VP) Chief Underwriter.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing large life insurance applications up to $20,000,000, making underwriting decisions within approval limits, coaching and mentoring underwriters, collaborating with New Business and Distribution teams, identifying trends and escalating issues, managing retention and autobind arrangements, and championing the responsible adoption of AI in underwriting workflows.
