- • The Underwriting Support Specialist II role at Pacific Life Insurance Company supports the Workforce Benefits Division by generating accurate manual rates for group insurance products and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. This role is critical to delivering timely and accurate underwriting support that enables the company to meet broker deadlines and serve policyholders effectively.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing quote submissions for completeness, extracting and formatting census data, evaluating SIC classifications for employer groups, consulting with underwriters on non-standard plan designs, and supporting peer teams during high-volume periods or absences. The role involves working on cases of varying complexity across all products and may include assisting with new business proposals, in-force business, and renewals.

🎯 Requirements
- • Critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
- • Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- • Strong attention to detail with a keen focus on quality and accuracy
- • High school diploma or GED required; 0-2 years of progressive experience in customer service and/or employee benefits, or equivalent college-level coursework preferred
- • Familiarity with Microsoft applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) and Salesforce
- • Availability to work between 5:00 am and 5:00 pm PST, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to cover non-standard shifts as needed with advance notice
