- • The Underwriting Technical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the binding process of insurance policies, ensuring accuracy, compliance with underwriting guidelines, and timely issuance of policies for RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty, a leading wholesale distributor of specialty insurance products.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with binding insurance policies, administering underwriting applications, supporting new business submissions, coordinating between underwriters and brokers, processing policy endorsements and cancellations, maintaining organized records, communicating with clients, providing backup for absent underwriters, and preparing binding metrics reports for process improvement.
- • The role operates within RT Specialty’s experienced brokerage team, which specializes in property, casualty, professional lines, transportation, and workers’ compensation insurance, delivering creative solutions to retail brokerage firms through superior execution and client-focused service.
- • The position offers opportunities to develop expertise in insurance underwriting processes, regulatory compliance, client communication, and data-driven reporting, while gaining exposure to specialty lines and building foundational knowledge for advancement in underwriting or insurance operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the Insurance Industry, Binding Underwriting, or a related field.
- • Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Business Operations and Sales preferred, or any other related discipline with commensurate work experience.
- • Prescribed: Minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses.
