- • The Union Paymaster is responsible for processing union payrolls accurately, compliantly, and on time within stated SLA timelines, ensuring adherence to complex collective bargaining agreements and maintaining high standards of documentation and cross-functional communication.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include processing union payrolls, interpreting and applying union rules from collective bargaining agreements and side letters, manually reviewing and validating calculations, identifying discrepancies, managing multiple payrolls and deadlines, maintaining detailed documentation, collaborating with internal partners such as Labor Relations and Payroll Ops, and contributing to SOPs and process improvements.
- • Wrapbook is a fast-growing technology company providing a unified payroll platform for production teams, trusted by top entertainment companies and backed by top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and WndrCo, with a team of 250+ across the US and Canada comprising entertainment and technology experts from major unions and tech firms.
- • In this role, the person can develop deep expertise in entertainment union payroll, improve operational workflows and documentation standards, build cross-functional collaboration skills, and contribute to scalable processes in a high-impact, mission-driven environment where their work directly affects cast and crew payroll accuracy and compliance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a multi-union payroll environment
- • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply union rules and working conditions in a production payroll context
- • Strong attention to detail and comfort working under pressure and deadlines
- • Clear written and verbal communication across multiple channels
- • Basic spreadsheet skills (Excel/Sheets) and comfort learning new systems quickly
- • Schedule flexibility to accommodate workload and client needs
