- • The University Supervisor for the Alternative Administration Route supports principal or school counselor candidates in Kentucky by providing virtual and/or in-person supervision, mentoring, and feedback to ensure their professional growth and certification readiness.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include facilitating communication among stakeholders, monitoring candidate progress, conducting virtual meetings and school observations, maintaining records, responding to candidate inquiries within 24 hours, and participating in required trainings.
- • The role operates under the Advanced Program Director in the School of Education at University of the Cumberlands, a mission-driven institution focused on intellectual and spiritual growth, leadership, and service.
- • In this role, the supervisor will deepen expertise in educational leadership supervision, strengthen mentoring and assessment skills, and contribute to the development of future school leaders and counselors while working remotely across Kentucky.
🎯 Requirements
- • Current and valid Kentucky teaching certificate in P-12 Principalship or P-12 School Counselor
- • Master’s degree and/or Rank 1 in School Principal or School Counselor
- • Experience in teacher supervision, mentoring, and leadership
- • Strong interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills
- • Knowledge of and interest in educational standards and initiatives
