- • The Poultry Vaccine Support Specialist (VSS) will primarily be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of delivery and support of frozen poultry vaccines.
- • They will need to use inventory and order management systems for the tracking and documentation of vaccine orders, delivery and chain of custody.
- • This colleague will also support the oversight of customer vaccine application processes.
- • This role will ensure efficient, timely, and equitable delivery of poultry vaccines to target populations, working closely with the Vaccine Delivery Manager, Poultry Account Managers, Poultry Marketing, Global Manufacturing & Supply and Managed Service teams.
- • The VSS will ensure compliance with customer expectations as well as safety standards and regulations.
- • This role will be responsible for providing training and education to customers to ensure best practices are followed in vaccine mixing and handling, and they will conduct audits to evaluate day of age spray applications are properly completed.
- • Ideal location for this role would be within an hour of Lewisberry, Pennsylvania.
- • Utilize the necessary tools to assess customer needs, prioritize product allocations, and optimize inventory availability to support vaccination programs.
- • Deliver all necessary products to ensure customer needs are met in the assigned territory.
- • Build loyalty to Zoetis poultry products and services by developing relationships with customers.
- • Train and evaluate customers to ensure proper, effective use and application of Zoetis products.
- • Determine each customer’s training needs and adjust training accordingly to ensure each customer’s needs are being met.
- • Manages communication to customers regarding all Zoetis poultry products and services.
- • Maintains working knowledge of customer locations in order to maximize business opportunities.
- • Provide Quality Assurance standards and audits.
- • Maintain customer compliance with safe handling of frozen vaccine products and ensure all standard operating procedures are followed to maximize vaccine efficacy.
- • Provide oversight and audit customer execution of spray cabinet operation and utilization.
- • Keeps up to date on ongoing and upcoming marketing programs on all products to ensure customers are informed of any potential rebates that are available.
- • Support aligned sales area by monitoring and following up with customers participating in Marketing Programs and Strategic Portfolio Customer Contracts.
- • Provide sales colleagues with updates after customer visits so they can follow up on potential orders and programs.
- • Provide effective training and corrective action as well as clearly and concisely summarize visits with internal and external stakeholders.
- • Maintain awareness and/or certifications required to meet all applicable safety and regulatory requirements associated with the handling and transportation of frozen vaccines in liquid nitrogen.
- • Keep current all documentation and communications necessary to maintain customer experience, inventory management, order fulfillment, regulatory, safety and accounting needs, ensuring adherence to established processes and compliance with all relevant internal policies and external regulations.
- • Bachelor’s degree in Ag Science, business administration, or similar is preferred.
- • Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- • Two years Planning/Scheduling utilizing an automated system or related experience.
- • Poultry industry knowledge and awareness preferred.
- • Proficient organizational and route planning skills.
- • Good oral and written communication.
- • Experience with SAP, Office suite and Salesforce.
- • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
- • Understanding of logistics and regulatory standards.
- • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- • Available for unsocial work hours is possible.
- • Travel required (60-80% of the time).
- • Work in a poultry hatchery will be necessary where heat and humidity above average is common.
- • Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds.
