  • • Serve as Ashby’s first dedicated Value Consultant, owning the end-to-end value selling motion across pre-sales and post-sales cycles.
  • • Partner with Solutions Engineers to craft compelling, customer-specific business cases for enterprise-level deals, often stepping into executive conversations as the face of value consulting.
  • • Design, build, and refine impact assessment frameworks, tools, and methodologies that quantify Ashby’s business value for Talent Acquisition teams and senior stakeholders.
  • • Translate complex hiring workflows and HR tech outcomes into clear, quantifiable narratives that resonate with CFOs, Heads of Talent, and other executive decision-makers.
  • • Enable and coach Solutions Engineers and Customer Success Managers through training, resource creation, and ongoing guidance to institutionalize value consulting practices across the go-to-market team.
  • • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure customers realize promised outcomes post-sale, aligning TA performance metrics with broader business priorities and reducing churn through value realization.
  • • Test and iterate on messaging and value propositions using strategic deals as live proving grounds to sharpen how Ashby communicates impact across the sales funnel.
  • • Act as the internal subject matter expert on value consulting, driving adoption of new frameworks and ensuring consistency in how value is articulated to prospects and customers.
  • • Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to translate customer feedback into insights that improve both sales messaging and product development.
  • • Build processes from the ground up in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment — shaping a function that currently has only foundational tools and no established playbook.
  • • Maintain a 80/20 split between pre-sales (executive-level value conversations, deal support) and post-sales (value realization, customer outcome alignment).
  • • Avoid quick hacks; prioritize high-quality, credible, and honest impact assessments grounded in real customer results rather than aspirational claims.
  • • Represent Ashby’s value proposition with authenticity, leveraging the product’s proven outcomes in hiring efficiency, candidate experience, and talent retention.
  • • Drive change management across teams to ensure adoption of new value selling practices by SEs and CSMs, requiring strong influence without direct authority.
  • • Focus on customer complexity and outcome depth over deal size, ensuring every assessment reflects genuine business impact rather than generic metrics.
  • • Maintain visibility in customer-facing roles; this is not a behind-the-scenes position — executive presence and communication are core to success.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of dedicated value consulting or value engineering experience in SaaS
  • • Proven ability to build value selling frameworks and tooling from scratch with minimal guidance
  • • Demonstrated success in translating technical product capabilities into quantifiable business outcomes for executive stakeholders
  • • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with sales, customer success, and product teams
  • • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to lead executive-level conversations with confidence and clarity
  • • Empathy for and understanding of Talent Acquisition workflows, challenges, and key metrics
