- • Supabase is seeking a dynamic and experienced VC Partnerships Lead to spearhead our engagement with the global venture capital community. This pivotal role is instrumental in establishing Supabase as the premier infrastructure solution for venture-backed startups, with a particular emphasis on those operating at the cutting edge of Postgres and AI technologies. Reporting directly to the Startup Programs Manager within the Partnerships team, you will be the architect of our relationships with venture capital firms, ensuring their portfolio companies are empowered by Supabase's robust platform.
- • The ideal candidate possesses a deep-seated understanding of the venture capital ecosystem, ideally complemented by an existing network of contacts. We have a strong preference for individuals who have prior experience as founders or operators, bringing invaluable insights into the challenges and triumphs of building and scaling early-stage companies. You will act as a crucial bridge, connecting the worlds of venture capital, ambitious startup founders, and essential developer infrastructure, thereby driving significant impact across a vast network of emerging businesses.
- • **VC Relationship Management:** Your core responsibility will be to cultivate and manage strategic relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 venture capital firms worldwide. You will serve as the primary point of contact, fostering strong connections with General Partners (GPs) and Managing Directors (MDs). A key aspect of this will be developing sophisticated partnership strategies tailored to top-tier VCs, creating seamless and preferred pathways for their portfolio companies to adopt and leverage Supabase. You will design and implement systematic engagement programs that consistently deliver value to our VC partners, directly influencing product adoption and driving sustained engagement.
- • To ensure strategic alignment and measurable success, you will create and maintain comprehensive strategic account plans for key venture relationships, defining clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). Furthermore, you will facilitate warm introductions between Supabase resources and portfolio companies, and coordinate the allocation of technical expertise to support their growth and integration efforts.
- • **Startup Program Evolution:** You will play a leading role in scaling the highly successful "Supabase for Startups" program, aiming to support thousands of seed-stage, venture-backed, and accelerator-backed startups. This involves designing and implementing attractive credit packages, tiered technical support levels, and comprehensive resource bundles that not only drive initial adoption but also foster long-term retention. Building scalable systems and robust processes for program enrollment, benefits delivery, and success tracking will be paramount. You will also develop essential program playbooks and enablement materials that can be effectively utilized by Regional Partnerships Associates, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience globally.
- • Continuous monitoring of program health metrics and iterative optimization based on direct startup feedback and demonstrable business impact will be crucial for the program's ongoing success and evolution.
- • **Event & Community Leadership:** You will own the strategy and execution of high-impact Go-To-Market (GTM) events specifically designed to engage founders and investors at critical industry junctures. This includes representing Supabase at prominent VC conferences, demo days, and broader startup ecosystem events. The goal is to create high-value programming that fosters meaningful connections between investors, founders, and the Supabase team. Close collaboration with the marketing team will be essential for event promotion, compelling content creation, and effective follow-up campaigns, all aimed at significantly building Supabase's brand presence within the investor community.
- • **Founder Advocacy & Product Feedback:** You will act as a critical escalation point for startup partners and founders encountering technical challenges or program-related issues, ensuring swift and effective resolution. A key function will be to systematically gather feedback from the startup ecosystem, synthesizing these insights into actionable intelligence for our Product and Engineering teams. You will be a strong internal advocate for features and improvements that are critical to startup success, directly influencing the product roadmap. Establishing clear feedback loops will ensure that the voices of our startup users are consistently heard and integrated into Supabase's product development decisions.
- • You will also be responsible for tracking and disseminating success stories and compelling case studies from our venture-backed companies, showcasing the tangible value Supabase provides.
- • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** This role demands strong collaboration across various internal teams. You will partner closely with Sales to support enterprise pipeline development by nurturing the growth of VC-backed startups. You will work hand-in-hand with Regional Partnerships Associates to guarantee consistent and high-quality program delivery across different global regions. Coordination with Marketing is vital for integrated campaigns, content strategy, and events targeting the venture ecosystem. Collaboration with Customer Success will ensure a premium, white-glove experience for our strategic startup partners. Furthermore, you will actively share best practices and valuable insights with the broader Partnerships and Growth teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
