📋 Description

• Lead and develop strategic partnerships with top venture capital funds, startup accelerators, and key ecosystem players across the Asia-Pacific region to drive adoption of OpenAI’s AI products among early-stage startups.
• Own revenue growth and product adoption metrics for OpenAI’s APIs and applications (e.g., Codex) within the startup segment, focusing on high-potential, venture-backed companies.
• Collaborate directly with OpenAI Account Directors to identify, prioritize, and serve high-growth startups with tailored technical and commercial support.
• Design and execute scalable partner programs including 1:1, 1:few, and 1:many technical engagements with startup teams to accelerate their integration of OpenAI technologies.
• Represent OpenAI at major startup ecosystem events, conferences, pitch days, and speaking engagements across APAC to build brand visibility and credibility.
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights on regional startup trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to inform product and partnership strategy.
• Lead programmatic outreach and engagement initiatives targeting the "long tail" of early-stage startups to expand OpenAI’s footprint across diverse markets in the region.
• Serve as the primary advocate for the startup experience within OpenAI, collecting and translating product feedback from founders and technical teams into actionable insights for internal product and engineering teams.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with venture capitalists, startup founders, and C-level executives across APAC, acting as a trusted advisor on AI adoption and strategy.
• Demonstrate strong technical fluency in AI technologies and the broader AI product landscape to effectively communicate value propositions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Travel frequently throughout the Asia-Pacific region to engage with partners, attend events, and support startup deployments in markets including but not limited to Japan, New Zealand, and Kazakhstan.
• Develop and refine repeatable, high-impact programs that scale OpenAI’s reach within the regional startup ecosystem while maintaining personalized, high-touch engagement.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to founders, investors, and internal teams, ensuring alignment on AI use cases, implementation pathways, and business outcomes.
• Drive strategic initiatives that align with OpenAI’s mission to ensure artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity, with a focus on empowering the next generation of AI-native companies.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years experience managing high-value external relationships with customers, partners, investors, or Board of Directors
• Background as a founder of a venture-backed startup, a venture capital investor, or an early employee at a fast-growing startup
• Technical understanding of AI technologies and the AI product landscape
• Proven experience owning revenue and business outcomes
• Strong public speaking ability and experience leading high-visibility customer engagements (e.g., conferences, product launches)
• Experience navigating diverse cultural and business ecosystems across the Asia-Pacific region
