- • Lead a global team of energy experts to secure cost-effective, reliable, and innovative power solutions for Equinix’s data centers worldwide.
- • Develop and execute a global energy procurement strategy aligned with short-, mid-, and long-term power needs for retail and xScale businesses, with emphasis on new powered land opportunities.
- • Oversee global energy procurement for new data center locations, including negotiation of power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other energy supply agreements.
- • Identify and leverage strategic partnerships with utility providers, independent power producers, and renewable energy developers to support Equinix’s global growth.
- • Commercially evaluate and drive initiatives for co-siting and on-site power generation in applicable global markets to ensure lowest cost of service and long-term reliability.
- • Integrate renewable and carbon-free energy programs into Equinix’s global data center portfolio to enhance energy resilience and sustainability.
- • Lead commercial engagements with next-generation energy technology providers to create scalable, long-term energy supply solutions.
- • Ensure energy strategies drive the lowest cost and highest quality service for Equinix customers while maintaining reliability and compliance.
- • Engage with global stakeholders including energy suppliers, regulators, and sustainability organizations to promote Equinix’s energy commitments and initiatives.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain a robust global pipeline of power capacity to meet future customer demand.
- • Manage large-scale budgets for global energy initiatives with strong financial acumen and accountability.
- • Inspire and lead a high-performance, globally dispersed team with a culture of accountability, agility, and innovation.
- • Work with senior leaders across the enterprise to align energy activities with Equinix’s broader vision and customer-centric goals.
