- • This role leads and supervises Modivcare’s Government, Regulatory, and Public Affairs team, serving as the company’s chief federal lobbyist and driving advocacy strategies at federal and state levels to advance policy priorities impacting healthcare, Medicaid, Medicare, and long-term care.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring legislative and regulatory activity, cultivating relationships with federal officials and stakeholders, developing policy positions, managing political engagement strategies (including PAC oversight), mentoring team members, collaborating cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and Business Units, overseeing budget and resource allocation, and representing the company in policy forums and industry workgroups.
- • Modivcare is a mission-driven healthcare services company focused on improving access to care for vulnerable populations through innovative transportation, personal care, and home-based health solutions, operating in a complex regulatory environment requiring expert government affairs leadership.
- • The successful candidate will shape Modivcare’s policy influence, build strategic alliances, develop high-impact advocacy materials, lead organizational change initiatives, and ensure alignment between public affairs and operational goals while advancing employee satisfaction and retention through effective leadership.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree in a health-related field preferred
- • Fifteen (15) plus years of relevant experience in federal and state government affairs, including active participation as a lobbyist, legislative, or regulatory staff person
- • Ten (10) plus years of leadership responsibility leading teams, with experience mentoring remote teams of skilled professionals
- • Proven track record leading public affairs and policy campaigns that advanced business goals, managing resources and budgets, and winning new business
- • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, project management, and judgment skills, with exceptional writing and verbal communication abilities
- • Demonstrated ability to work across jurisdictions, collaborate internally and externally with professionalism, and manage up while delegating and editing others’ work
