Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Vice President of Growth at Corbalt LLC is a strategic leadership role focused on driving sustainable revenue expansion, market penetration, and client acquisition for a mission-driven technology firm dedicated to improving public sector software infrastructure. This role is critical to scaling Corbalt’s impact by translating its proven expertise in government technology modernization—gained through direct involvement in the Healthcare.gov rescue and ongoing Medicaid modernization efforts—into predictable, long-term growth.
- • The VP of Growth will own the end-to-end growth strategy, aligning sales, marketing, partnerships, and customer success initiatives to accelerate adoption of Corbalt’s scalable, user-centered software solutions across federal, state, and local government agencies. This includes identifying high-potential opportunities in public health, benefits delivery, and digital service modernization, then designing and executing go-to-market plans that resonate with government stakeholders’ unique procurement cycles, compliance requirements, and mission-oriented priorities.
- • Day to day, the VP of Growth will: develop and refine Corbalt’s growth strategy based on deep analysis of government technology trends, budget cycles, and emerging policy priorities; build and lead a high-performing growth team (including sales, marketing, and partnership functions) to exceed revenue targets; cultivate and maintain relationships with key government decision-makers, prime contractors, and innovation units; design and oversee targeted outreach campaigns using account-based marketing principles tailored to federal and state procurement processes; collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure market feedback shapes solution development; represent Corbalt at industry conferences, government innovation forums, and public-sector tech events to enhance brand visibility; monitor and report on key performance indicators including pipeline velocity, win rates, customer acquisition cost, and lifetime value; and mentor junior team members to foster a culture of accountability, learning, and mission-driven excellence.
- • Corbalt LLC is a small, remote-first team of technologists united by a shared commitment to improving government service delivery through thoughtful, scalable technology. Born from the Healthcare.gov turnaround effort, the company continues to partner with federal and state agencies to modernize legacy systems, reduce administrative burden, and increase access to vital services like health insurance and Medicaid. The culture emphasizes kindness, collaboration, intellectual curiosity, and a deep respect for public servants—valuing impact over ego and solutions over bureaucracy.
- • The team operates with minimal hierarchy, empowering individuals to take ownership of complex problems and innovate within constraints. Engineers, designers, and product thinkers work closely with government clients to co-create tools that are intuitive, secure, and effective—prioritizing user needs over technical complexity. This environment offers the VP of Growth a unique opportunity to shape not just a business function, but the way a purpose-driven tech firm scales its positive impact in the public sector.
- • In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to define and institutionalize a repeatable growth engine for a niche but vital market—government technology modernization—while working alongside mission-aligned peers who care deeply about equitable access to public services. They will develop advanced expertise in public-sector sales cycles, federal procurement (including FAR, GSA schedules, and IDIQ contracts), and stakeholder engagement across layered bureaucracies. Beyond professional growth, the role offers the profound satisfaction of knowing that their work directly contributes to making government services more accessible, efficient, and dignified for millions of Americans, particularly those in underserved communities.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven track record of 10+ years in growth, sales, or business development leadership within B2G (business-to-government) or complex enterprise technology sales, with demonstrable success in scaling revenue in federal, state, or local government markets.
- • Deep understanding of government procurement processes, including FAR, GSA Schedules, SEWP, OASIS, and other relevant contract vehicles, as well as experience navigating security and compliance requirements (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST).
- • Strong network of contacts within federal, state, or local government IT, procurement, or program management offices, particularly in health and human services agencies (e.g., CMS, HHS, state Medicaid offices).
- • Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to translate complex government needs into compelling value propositions and go-to-market plans.
- • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and senior government officials.
- • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in public policy, business, or a related field preferred.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote work arrangement with flexible hours, enabling collaboration across time zones while supporting work-life balance.
- • Competitive base salary performance bonus structure tied to company and individual growth milestones.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans, with employer covering a significant portion of premiums.
- • Generous paid time off (PTO) policy, including holidays, vacation, and sick leave, designed to support rest and recovery.
- • Professional development stipend for conferences, certifications, or training relevant to government technology and growth strategy.
- • Equity or profit-sharing opportunity aligned with long-term company success and mission impact.
