  • • The Vice President, Private Equity Risk is a senior leadership role responsible for guiding private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies through the full transaction lifecycle by identifying, assessing, and mitigating insurance-related risks. This position is critical to ensuring that deals are structured with appropriate risk transfer mechanisms, protecting investor value and supporting successful post-close integration.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading insurance due diligence for complex private equity transactions, evaluating target company risk profiles and insurance programs, developing executive-level reports for sponsors and lenders, advising on optimal post-close insurance program design, orchestrating multi-line insurance solutions across Property & Casualty, Management Liability, Cyber, Employee Benefits, and Transactional Risk, leading placement of transaction-related insurance such as Representations & Warranties, cultivating senior carrier relationships to negotiate favorable terms, serving as a trusted strategic advisor on enterprise risk and governance, contributing to business development and thought leadership initiatives, and leveraging proprietary AI tools to enhance service delivery and client experience.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum 7 years’ experience in insurance brokerage, risk advisory, or transaction support with direct exposure to private equity or M&A environments.
  • • Property and Casualty License from state of domicile is required and must be maintained; Surplus Lines License strongly preferred.
  • • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects under tight deadlines, with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
