📋 Description
- • The Vice President of Sales – Enterprise is a senior individual contributor role responsible for acquiring and growing relationships with the largest employers in the country (15,000+ employees), directly shaping Function Health’s enterprise growth trajectory and long-term market presence by bringing preventative, data-driven healthcare to millions of lives.
- • This role owns the full sales lifecycle—from initial engagement through contract execution and early expansion—while serving as a strategic partner to executive stakeholders at Fortune 500–scale organizations and leading benefits consulting firms, driving complex, multi-stakeholder deals that align with employer health and wellbeing initiatives.

- • Day to day, the VP of Sales will own the end-to-end sales cycle for national and jumbo employers (15,000+ employees), driving complex, multi-threaded deals across HR, Total Rewards, Clinical, and Finance stakeholders while leading RFP processes, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations.
- • They will build and manage relationships with CHROs, Chief Medical Officers, CFOs, and senior decision-makers, developing long-term strategic partnerships aligned to employer health and wellbeing initiatives while navigating and influencing key benefits consulting firms and broker relationships.
- • The role involves partnering cross-functionally to design clinically and financially optimized programs, structuring multi-year agreements and full-population deployments, and guiding employers toward preventative-first, high-impact benefit models.
- • They will partner with Customer Success to ensure successful enterprise rollout and activation, own expansion opportunities within the first 6–9 months post-launch, and identify and close growth opportunities across geographies, populations, and product lines.
- • Performance is measured by achieving quarterly and annual quotas aligned to 3–4 new enterprise logos per year, managing pipeline, forecasting, and deal progression with high accuracy, and operating with urgency and discipline in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- • The VP will collaborate with product, clinical, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure solutions meet employer needs and are positioned for maximum impact, leveraging data and outcomes to refine value propositions.
- • They will mentor and influence junior sales talent through example and informal guidance, contributing to a high-performance sales culture rooted in accountability, curiosity, and customer obsession.
- • Success in this role means establishing Function Health as a trusted, indispensable partner in enterprise healthcare strategy, directly contributing to improved population health outcomes and reduced long-term costs for some of the nation’s largest employers.
- • The individual will have the opportunity to shape the enterprise go-to-market motion from the ground up, defining best practices, sales methodologies, and customer engagement models that scale as the company grows.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10–12+ years of enterprise sales experience in benefits, healthcare, or HR technology.
- • Proven track record of closing large, complex deals with national or jumbo employers (15,000+ employees).
- • Deep relationships with major consulting firms (e.g., Marsh McLennan, Mercer, WTW, Aon, Gallagher).
- • Demonstrated success navigating multi-stakeholder, executive-level sales cycles involving HR, Finance, Clinical, and Total Rewards decision-makers.
- • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, negotiation, and contract structuring for multi-year enterprise agreements.
- • Experience selling preventative health, population health, or clinical programs is preferred.
