  • • Join Aircall, a rapidly growing, AI-powered customer communications unicorn, as a VoIP Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our core telephony infrastructure. Headquartered in Paris, with a global presence spanning North America, Europe, and beyond, Aircall is revolutionizing how businesses connect with their customers by integrating voice, SMS, WhatsApp, and AI into a single, seamless workspace. Our mission is to empower teams to work smarter, not harder, through innovative solutions like our AI Voice Agent, AI Assist, and AI Assist Pro, which automate routine tasks, streamline post-call workflows, and provide real-time guidance.
  • • As a VoIP Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of Aircall's critical telephony systems. This is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between traditional telecommunications and modern cloud-native engineering, leveraging cutting-edge cloud telephony technologies to deliver secure, high-quality, and exceptionally reliable voice connectivity to our 22,000+ global customers.
  • • You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust VoIP solutions that form the backbone of our communication platform. This involves deep technical expertise in real-time communication protocols, network infrastructure, and cloud-based telephony services. Your work will directly impact the user experience, ensuring that every call, every interaction, is seamless and professional, reinforcing Aircall's commitment to customer obsession and delivering meaningful outcomes.
  • • Key responsibilities will include monitoring the health and performance of our VoIP infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and maintain service integrity. You will be involved in capacity planning and scaling strategies to accommodate Aircall's rapid growth and increasing user base, ensuring our systems can handle peak loads and future demands.
  • • This role requires a proactive approach to security, implementing and maintaining best practices to protect our voice network from threats and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will collaborate closely with other engineering teams, including SRE, backend, and product development, to integrate telephony services, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the overall architecture of our platform.
  • • You will also be responsible for evaluating and adopting new cloud telephony technologies and services, staying abreast of industry trends and innovations to continuously improve our infrastructure. This includes managing relationships with upstream providers and ensuring the quality and reliability of our external voice connectivity.
  • • Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of internal tools and automation to streamline operational tasks, improve monitoring capabilities, and enhance the efficiency of the telephony team. Documentation of systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides will be a critical part of ensuring knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
  • • Aircall fosters a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and thoughtful speed. As a VoIP Engineer, you will be empowered to take initiative, make data-driven decisions, and contribute to a collaborative environment where trust and impact are highly valued. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging technical problems, drive innovation, and witness the direct impact of your contributions on a product loved by customers and a business that is scaling at an unprecedented pace.
  • • This position offers a chance to be part of a product-driven company backed by world-class investors, where rapid AI innovation is a core focus. You will be joining a team that is ambitious, execution-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional value. If you are passionate about telecommunications, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and are eager to make a significant contribution to a leading customer communications platform, this role is for you.
