  • • The Vice President, Commercial Excellence & Enablement is a senior executive leader responsible for building and executing a unified global commercial operating strategy for Danaher’s Diagnostics Solutions Group, reporting directly to the VP Diagnostics Solutions & Performance Partnership.
  • • This role oversees critical commercial functions including Commercial Excellence, Customer Operations, Pricing & Deal Desk, Sales Reporting, Incentive Compensation, Master Data Management, and Contracting, driving cross-functional alignment and go-to-market excellence in a highly regulated medical diagnostics market.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and executing a unified commercial strategy, leading customer experience and satisfaction initiatives, managing global pricing and currency considerations, overseeing contract lifecycle management, directing customer master data strategy, and governing incentive compensation programs with transparency and fairness.
  • • The role operates within Danaher’s culture of continuous improvement, leveraging the Danaher Business System (DBS) to embed operational rigor, drive data-informed decisions, and enable scalable revenue growth across global operating companies.
  • • The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide commercial performance, foster cross-OpCo collaboration, and contribute to life-saving diagnostic innovations by aligning commercial excellence with patient impact and healthcare accessibility.
  • • As a remote-eligible role based in the USA, this position supports flexible work arrangements while requiring approximately 35% travel to engage with global teams and stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • • Minimum of 20 years of experience in sales, sales enablement, or commercial excellence roles, with at least 10 years in a leadership position and 5 years of experience leading through the Danaher Business System (DBS).
  • • Proven ability to define strategic direction and ensure operational mechanisms (dashboards, tools) are in place to achieve goals, blending high-level thinking with successful execution across complex organizations.
  • • Exceptional influencing and consensus-building skills to drive coordinated action across disparate teams and organizational entities without direct authority.
  • • Deep customer-centric mindset with ability to champion customer experience, ensure contractual compliance, and embed a culture of exceeding expectations across global operations.
  • • Strong data-driven commercial acumen, adept at leveraging financial and operational data to optimize revenue, margin, and effectiveness in a regulated diagnostics market.
