📋 Description
- • As the VP of Finance at Atlas Oncology Partners, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of a pioneering organization dedicated to providing truly whole-person care to cancer patients. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead the financial infrastructure of a rapidly scaling, value-based care company, designed by oncologists for oncologists. Your leadership will directly impact our ability to align incentives, improve patient outcomes, guarantee reduced medical expenses for payors, and foster greater financial independence for our provider partners.
- • You will hold ultimate oversight and accountability for all of Atlas Oncology Partners' financial operations. This includes the critical task of building a robust financial infrastructure that can support our ambitious growth trajectory. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive and standardized financial processes that ensure consistent performance across all markets and functional areas of the company.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve partnering closely with our operations and management teams to identify, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs). This data-driven approach will be essential for understanding our performance, identifying areas for improvement, and informing strategic decisions.
- • You will be the architect of our financial reporting, creating clear, accurate, and insightful presentations for our Executive Team and Board of Directors. These reports will not only detail the financial health of the organization but also provide deep business insights, highlight current and future risks and opportunities, and explain the drivers behind any forecast variances.
- • Strategic financial planning will be at the core of your responsibilities. You will assess and evaluate the financial performance of our long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts, providing expert recommendations on both short-term tactical adjustments and long-term strategic growth plans. This includes developing sophisticated financial and decision-making models to guide critical business decisions.
- • You will serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team, offering expert guidance on fiscal solutions that will propel the organization towards achieving its short-term and long-term objectives. Your financial acumen will be crucial in navigating the complexities of a high-growth healthcare environment.
- • A significant part of your mandate will be to build and manage a high-performing, world-class finance organization. This involves not only hiring exceptional talent but also inspiring, leading, and developing a strong and diverse team. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth, coaching your team to meet and exceed business priorities and goals.
- • You will champion a dynamic growth culture throughout the organization, driving initiatives that enhance revenue, improve profitability, and align with Atlas' overarching goals and objectives. Your leadership will extend beyond the finance department, influencing the company's strategic direction.
- • Collaboration will be paramount. You will work closely with Rubicon Founders, investors, and physician partners, ensuring that all financial solutions are sound, sustainable, and aligned with the company's mission and vision. You will also partner with management teams to translate financial strategies into actionable operational plans.
- • Your expertise in the healthcare landscape, particularly in Medicare Advantage and commercial plans, will be vital as we enter new markets. Experience within full risk-bearing models or risk-sharing payer-provider models, including exposure to negotiating risk-based contracts, is highly desirable and will be leveraged to optimize our financial arrangements.
- • This role demands a leader with a strong business sense and a strategic mindset, capable of operating at both a high-level strategic partnership with the Board, investors, and management team, and a hands-on, execution-focused approach in an early-stage business environment. You will be the driving force behind our financial strategy, ensuring fiscal responsibility and enabling sustainable growth.
- • You will play a pivotal role in developing standardized financial infrastructure and processes that are scalable and adaptable, enabling consistent performance and financial clarity across all markets and functions as Atlas expands.
- • Your ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights will empower the Executive Team and Board to make informed decisions, driving the company towards its mission of delivering high-quality, value-based care.
- • Ultimately, you will be the guardian of Atlas Oncology Partners' financial health, ensuring that our resources are managed effectively to support our mission and maximize value for our patients, providers, and stakeholders.
🎯 Requirements
- • Over 5 years of experience in a high-growth healthcare environment, ideally within an early-stage business.
- • Demonstrated executive presence with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial models to diverse audiences.
- • Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills with an ability to map innovative solutions to complex scenarios.
- • Expertise in Medicare Advantage and commercial plans, particularly related to entering new markets.
- • Established track record of hiring, developing, and leading top talent within a finance function.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision insurance.
- • Competitive compensation package.
- • Generous Paid Vacation, Holidays, and Sick Leave.
- • Opportunity to collaborate with like-minded healthcare professionals dedicated to value-based care.
