  • • Flock Safety is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Vice President of Corporate Development & Partnerships to spearhead the expansion and strategic evolution of our external ecosystem. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping our approach to integrations, APIs, strategic alliances, and select corporate development initiatives, driving significant growth and market leverage for Flock Safety.
  • • As the leader at the nexus of product strategy, platform development, and intricate partnership management, you will navigate a complex landscape serving both public safety and private sector clients. Your primary objective will be to define and execute how Flock Safety collaborates with its partners, ensuring alignment between external opportunities and our product roadmap, ultimately creating enduring strategic advantages for the company.
  • • This is a hands-on leadership position designed for an individual who thrives at the confluence of strategic thinking, partnership cultivation, and platform architecture. Success in this role hinges on your ability to adeptly manage diverse stakeholder perspectives, translate intricate requirements into actionable strategies, and forge durable, high-impact partnerships that propel Flock Safety forward.
  • • You will be entrusted with the comprehensive responsibility for our partnership and integration ecosystem. This includes developing and implementing a robust integration strategy, cultivating a vibrant marketplace of strategic partners, and defining the future of our API offerings to enable seamless collaboration and innovation.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be to build and nurture a network of partners whose combined offerings, when integrated with Flock Safety's products, deliver the complete, end-to-end solutions that our customers demand. This requires a strategic vision for how external capabilities can augment and enhance our core offerings.
  • • You will orchestrate and lead cross-functional coordination efforts, working closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams. This collaborative approach is essential for the successful execution of complex partnership initiatives that are designed to accelerate growth and expand our market reach.
  • • Close collaboration with Product and Engineering leadership will be paramount. You will partner to ensure the strategic alignment of our API governance, the overall platform strategy, and the evolving needs of our partners, fostering an environment where technology and partnerships are mutually reinforcing.
  • • You will be tasked with further developing the corporate development function into a proactive, strategically driven capability. This involves identifying, rigorously prioritizing, and advancing high-impact opportunities across the partnership landscape and the broader external ecosystem, ensuring that Flock Safety remains at the forefront of innovation and strategic advantage.
  • • You will provide critical support for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and strategic investment activities, working in close partnership with the Finance team and executive leadership to identify, evaluate, and execute transactions that align with Flock Safety's long-term strategic objectives.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve representing Flock Safety externally. You will engage with partners, industry stakeholders, and other ecosystem participants, bringing a high degree of credibility, sound judgment, and a forward-thinking, long-term perspective to all interactions.
  • • Your leadership will extend to shaping the company’s overall partnership and integration strategy, ensuring it is cohesive, ambitious, and aligned with our business goals. You will also be responsible for nurturing and managing key external relationships across both public-sector and private-sector ecosystems, building trust and fostering mutual growth.
  • • You will drive the evolution of corporate development into a more proactive and strategically focused function, moving beyond reactive opportunities to actively seek and create strategic advantages. Furthermore, you will lead select M&A and investment initiatives, providing strategic direction and execution support as needed, and guiding critical decision-making around partnership structures, governance frameworks, and prioritization methodologies to maximize value and minimize risk.
  • • In your first 90 days, you will immerse yourself in the public safety technology landscape, build essential relationships across internal teams and with key external stakeholders, and conduct a thorough assessment of our current API and partnership infrastructure. You will then leverage this understanding to identify strategic opportunities, clarify our API and integration strategy, and begin stabilizing and enhancing high-volume partnerships, culminating in a clear, forward-looking strategy presentation and recommendations for operational improvements and future investment structures, demonstrating early wins in partnership execution and ecosystem leverage.
