- • As the Warehouse Logistics Manager for Swarovski AG's Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Louisville, KY, you will be instrumental in orchestrating and optimizing the daily operations managed by our third-party logistics (3PL) provider. This pivotal role demands a strategic and hands-on approach to ensure seamless, cost-effective, and high-performing warehouse operations that consistently meet and exceed Swarovski's stringent service and operational targets.
- • You will serve as the primary conduit between Swarovski's internal stakeholders and the 3PL's operational team. This involves fostering a strong, collaborative partnership, proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities within the supply chain, and swiftly addressing any performance issues that may arise. Your ability to translate Swarovski's business needs into actionable operational plans for the 3PL will be critical to success.
- • A core responsibility will be to meticulously align service levels, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and volume forecasts with the 3PL. This is particularly crucial during high-demand periods and peak seasons, where meticulous planning and execution are paramount to maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- • You will be a champion for continuous improvement (CIP) within the 3PL environment. This entails not only identifying areas for enhancement but also leading the charge from opportunity assessment through to successful implementation. Utilizing methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma, you will drive initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational excellence.
- • When operational challenges emerge, you will be expected to conduct thorough root-cause analyses to understand the underlying issues. Based on these findings, you will develop and implement effective, long-term corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure sustained operational stability.
- • A key aspect of this role involves managing the integration of new operational requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring these requirements are properly scoped, rigorously evaluated for feasibility and impact, and implemented on time and within budget, minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.
- • You will oversee critical financial and administrative tasks related to warehouse operations. This includes the meticulous planning and execution of annual stock counts, ensuring inventory accuracy, and fulfilling all financial and administrative reporting requirements in collaboration with the 3PL and internal finance teams.
- • Supporting the Head of Logistics (HoL) is a significant part of this role. You will contribute to the strategic management of the 3PL partnership, including involvement in contract renewals, rate negotiations, and potentially provider selection processes. Your insights will be vital in ensuring Swarovski secures optimal terms and maintains a high-performing logistics network.
- • This role requires a deep understanding of distribution center dynamics, including inbound processing, inventory management, order fulfillment, and outbound shipping. You will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) daily, weekly, and monthly, analyzing trends and developing strategies to improve performance across all operational facets.
- • You will foster a culture of accountability and proactive problem-solving with the 3PL team, ensuring they are aligned with Swarovski's brand values and commitment to excellence. Your leadership will inspire the 3PL to consistently deliver exceptional service.
- • The position demands a proactive approach to anticipating future needs, whether driven by market changes, new product introductions, or evolving customer expectations. You will work collaboratively to ensure the RDC is agile and prepared for future growth and challenges.
- • Ultimately, your success will be measured by your ability to maintain a highly efficient, cost-effective, and reliable distribution network that supports Swarovski's global brand reputation and customer commitments.
