- • Lead comprehensive management and oversight of the WMATA LMR ASTRO System infrastructure, ensuring seamless operational delivery and contractual compliance.
- • Direct and manage a multidisciplinary team including Engineers, System Managers, Technologists, Cybersecurity Leads, Customer Service Managers, Quality Managers, Safety Managers, and Configuration Management personnel.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact between Motorola Solutions and WMATA, coordinating with internal leadership, subcontractors, partners, and external customer teams.
- • Administer and oversee the full program budget, including forecasting, cost control, invoicing, financial reporting, and achieving quarterly and annual financial targets.
- • Manage all aspects of contract administration, including development of contractual responses, proposal approvals, risk assessment, and ensuring adherence to all contractual obligations and deliverables.
- • Oversee project managers and ensure successful transition of all projects to full-time sustainment support under the WMATA program.
- • Participate in and lead proposal development for WMATA projects, ensuring alignment with customer pricing, quality assurance, information assurance, engineering design, scheduling, and resource planning.
- • Lead and participate in Engineering Change Board processes, submitting change requests, documentation, schedules, and system impact analyses in compliance with established procedures.
- • Develop, track, and refine risk mitigation plans and action item trackers to minimize program, project, and financial risks.
- • Establish and monitor KPIs, conduct regular requirements reviews, and perform audits to ensure contractual compliance and performance standards.
- • Attend and manage daily and weekly customer calls, review and approve all meeting notes, and maintain accurate documentation of all program activities.
- • Coordinate daily with the Motorola Sales team to align on strategic direction, identify new sales opportunities, and respond to pre- and post-sale customer needs.
- • Ensure program goals and strategic plans directly support and align with Motorola Solutions’ organizational objectives and are clearly communicated to all team members.
- • Perform executive-level written and oral communications, including preparing reports, briefings, presentations, and other formal documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- • Manage supply chain, logistics, equipment ordering, manufacturing oversight, and personnel actions including hiring, firing, evaluations, coaching, and mentoring.
- • Maintain high standards of professionalism under pressure, prioritize competing tasks daily, and reprioritize team deliverables to meet critical milestones.
- • Utilize data analysis to measure team performance, track customer goal attainment, and inform strategic decision-making.
- • Ensure all program activities comply with WMATA’s change management processes and internal Motorola Solutions governance frameworks.
- • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all program activities, including schedules, budgets, ATPs, risk registries, and audit trails.
- • Travel 25-50% to support on-site customer engagements, project reviews, and operational oversight.
🎯 Requirements
- • 15+ years of proven management and leadership experience leading large technical, service delivery, or operational teams
- • 15+ years of personnel management experience including hiring, firing, evaluations, coaching, and mentoring
- • 15+ years of experience managing budgets, forecasting, and achieving financial targets
- • 15+ years of project management experience on large, complex projects with development of schedules, plans, and risk mitigation artifacts
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely
