- • The Workday Test Analyst at Solv Energy plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of Workday Payroll, HCM, and Security modules through rigorous testing and validation. This role directly supports the company’s mission to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions for the power industry by maintaining the integrity of core HR and payroll systems that enable workforce operations.
- • Day to day, the analyst will design, plan, and execute end-to-end test cases for Workday configurations, conduct data validation, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT), perform parallel payroll testing and result validation, track and document defects in tools like JIRA, build and maintain test artifacts including test plans and scripts, validate business process functionality with detailed scenarios, analyze root causes of issues and coordinate corrective actions, collaborate with HR, Payroll, Security, and IT teams to align testing with business needs, prepare and present testing status reports and quality metrics, maintain documentation for knowledge transfer, recommend process improvements and testing best practices, and stay current with Workday feature releases to integrate new testing strategies.

- • In this role, the individual will deepen their expertise in Workday HCM, Payroll, and Security modules, gain hands-on experience in enterprise HRIS testing and validation, develop strong cross-functional collaboration skills across HR, IT, and payroll teams, enhance their ability to drive quality assurance initiatives in a regulated environment, and position themselves for advancement into senior testing, QA leadership, or Workday functional consulting roles within the organization or industry.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on Workday testing experience, including Payroll, HCM, and Security modules.
- • Demonstrated experience with test planning and execution frameworks, testing tools (e.g., JIRA), and SDLC methodologies.
- • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- • Workday certification(s) in HCM, Payroll, or Security (preferred).
- • Experience in enterprise HRIS support or Workday enhancement projects (preferred).
