- • As the dedicated Workers’ Compensation Administrator at A1 Garage Door Service LLC, you will be the central figure in managing our comprehensive workers’ compensation program. This pivotal role encompasses the entire lifecycle of a claim, from the initial report of an injury through to its successful resolution and the employee's safe return to work. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all workers’ compensation matters, fostering collaboration across various departments to support thorough accident investigations, ensure unwavering compliance with regulations, and proactively work towards reducing future risk and claim frequency.
- • In this dynamic and fast-paced operational environment, success hinges on your exceptional organizational skills, your ability to respond swiftly and effectively, and your capacity for quick, critical thinking. While this position is not primarily strategic, it is instrumental in identifying emerging trends, proposing practical and effective solutions to mitigate claims, and actively championing a robust culture of safety and accountability throughout the organization.
- • Your core responsibility will be to lead and manage all Workers’ Compensation Claims. This involves acting as the primary administrator and the main point of contact for every workers’ compensation claim that arises. You will be responsible for promptly reporting all injuries to our designated insurance carriers or Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) and meticulously ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner. A significant part of your role will be to actively manage and meticulously track every open claim from the moment it is initially reported until its final closure, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
- • You will be the key coordinator of communication, facilitating seamless interaction between injured employees, their direct supervisors, the Safety Manager, the HR department, medical providers involved in treatment, and the assigned adjusters. This involves keeping all parties informed and aligned throughout the claims process. Furthermore, you will diligently monitor the progress of each claim, paying close attention to treatment plans, any work restrictions imposed by medical professionals, and the overall trajectory of the claim towards resolution.
- • Ensuring strict compliance with all state-specific reporting requirements and adhering to all deadlines will be paramount. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate OSHA recordkeeping and ensuring compliance with all relevant reporting obligations, safeguarding the company against potential penalties and ensuring a safe working environment.
- • You will engage in Cross-Functional Incident & Claims Collaboration, partnering closely with the Safety and Management teams to conduct thorough and effective accident and incident investigations. Your insights will be invaluable in identifying recurring injury patterns and trends, and you will be expected to communicate these findings clearly and concisely to HR, Operations, and Safety leadership. Based on these insights, you will assist in the development and implementation of practical, actionable solutions designed to reduce the company’s overall risk exposure and decrease the frequency of claims.
- • A crucial aspect of your role will be to Coordinate Return-to-Work initiatives. This includes facilitating the implementation of modified duty and transitional work assignments for employees recovering from injuries. You will partner with managers across departments to identify suitable light-duty opportunities that align with medical restrictions and support the employee’s recovery process. A key focus will be on monitoring compliance with all medical restrictions to ensure a safe and effective return to work.
- • You will also be tasked with Analyze & Improve processes related to workers’ compensation. This involves diligently tracking and analyzing claim trends, associated costs, and identifying recurring risk areas. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive reports that detail various aspects of claims, such as overall claims volume, claims categorized by type, claims broken down by employee tenure, and other relevant metrics. Your analysis should lead to the provision of practical, actionable suggestions aimed at decreasing both the frequency and severity of claims. You will be expected to think creatively and act with urgency to resolve claim-related challenges as they arise, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and providing essential reporting as required.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–4 years of experience in workers’ compensation, claims administration, HR, safety, or a closely related field.
- • Demonstrated working knowledge of workers’ compensation laws, state-specific reporting requirements, and standard claims processes.
- • Experience working directly with insurance carriers and/or Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) is highly preferred.
- • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple active claims simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels, medical providers, and insurance adjusters.
- • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and claim information.
