- • Adjunct Faculty position in Writing Studies at University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), teaching academic, technical, and business writing remotely to adult learners throughout the academic year.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include actively engaging students through frequent interaction, guiding collaborative learning, providing constructive feedback using rubrics, demonstrating subject-matter expertise, and contributing to curricular improvements.
- • UMGC is a mission-driven institution serving 90,000 students globally, with a strong focus on adult learners, military-affiliated students, and working professionals seeking flexible, accessible education.
- • This role offers the opportunity to develop as a scholar-practitioner, gain experience in online higher education instruction, and contribute to student success in writing and professional communication.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s degree in English or a related field from an accredited institution
- • Professional experience in English or a related field
- • Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education (strongly preferred)
- • Terminal degree in English or related field (preferred)
