American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities (ALSAC) is the fundraising and awareness organization solely dedicated to supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Established in 1957 by Danny Thomas, ALSAC raises the majority of the hospital’s annual budget through individual, corporate and foundation gifts, special events and planned giving. It operates offices nationwide, investing in donor stewardship, marketing campaigns, volunteer programs and digital outreach to sustain St. Jude’s mission of advancing cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment, with no family ever receiving a bill from the hospital for treatment, travel, housing or food.
