  • • As an Analyst, SOX Compliance at Genesys Cloud Services, Inc., you will be instrumental in fortifying our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance framework, ensuring the integrity and reliability of our financial reporting and internal controls.
  • • This role is designed for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a keen eye for risk assessment and process evaluation, ready to take significant ownership of assigned compliance activities.
  • • You will collaborate closely with business process owners, IT teams, and external auditors to conduct comprehensive walkthroughs of business processes, meticulously evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
  • • A core responsibility will involve performing rigorous testing of both business process controls and IT-dependent/manual application controls (ITACs), adhering strictly to established audit standards to identify any potential control gaps.
  • • Upon identifying control deficiencies, you will be tasked with assessing their impact and severity, providing clear, well-supported documentation of your testing procedures, findings, and conclusions.
  • • You will communicate your findings and recommendations to business stakeholders in a professional, constructive, and actionable manner, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve coordinating and tracking the remediation efforts for identified deficiencies, ensuring that these are addressed in a timely and effective manner to mitigate risks.
  • • You will actively contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the SOX program by proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, elevate the quality of documentation, and broaden the scope of risk coverage.
  • • Building and maintaining strong, effective working relationships across finance, IT, and operational teams will be crucial for success in this role, enabling seamless collaboration and information exchange.
  • • The position requires a high degree of independence and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, consistently delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • • You will support SOX planning, scoping, and risk assessment activities, working in coordination with business process owners and external auditors to ensure comprehensive coverage and alignment.
  • • The role demands an ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause evaluation skills.
  • • You will be expected to exercise sound professional judgment and apply critical thinking to complex compliance scenarios.
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, particularly the ability to articulate complex control concepts clearly to individuals who may not have a specialized background in compliance.
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required for documentation, analysis, and presentation of findings.
  • • This role supports a global SOX program, necessitating collaboration across multiple time zones and regular interaction with U.S.-based stakeholders and external auditors.
  • • The successful candidate must be adaptable and able to accommodate periodic schedule adjustments to support cross-regional meetings and critical audit timelines.
  • • You will be a key player in ensuring Genesys maintains a robust internal control environment, contributing directly to the company's commitment to transparency and regulatory adherence.
  • • This position offers a unique opportunity for a high-potential professional with 2+ years of experience to grow their career within the SOX and compliance function, taking ownership of processes and demonstrating capabilities for increasing responsibility.
  • • You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, empathy, and a drive for excellence in customer and employee experiences.
  • • By joining Genesys, you will contribute to a company that empowers organizations worldwide to create exceptional experiences, leveraging AI-powered solutions to connect people, systems, data, and AI across the enterprise.
