- • Own the entire BD lifecycle for Symbiotic, the universal staking protocol that already secures $1bn+ TVL and powers 40+ leading teams like Spark, Hyperlane, and Avail. You will architect and execute a partnerships roadmap that turns Symbiotic’s primitives into the default rails for decentralizing any protocol stack.
- • Source and close tier-1 alliances across L1s, L2s, DeFi blue-chips, wallets, TradFi institutions, and infra providers. You’ll run a data-driven pipeline—forecasting deal value, mapping decision-makers, and negotiating commercial terms—while ensuring every partnership ladders up to ecosystem growth and TVL expansion.
- • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Head of Ecosystem and cross-functional pods (Engineering, Marketing, Legal) to turn signed MoUs into live integrations. You’ll define technical requirements, coordinate co-marketing campaigns, and shepherd partners through audits, grants, and liquidity bootstrapping.
- • Establish and obsess over KPIs: partner activation rate, TVL driven per integration, revenue-share yield, and partner NPS. You’ll build dashboards, run quarterly business reviews, and rapidly iterate strategy based on on-chain data and market feedback.
- • Act as the external face of Symbiotic at ETHDenver, Token2049, Permissionless, and private summits. You’ll deliver keynote talks, host invite-only roundtables, and convert hallway conversations into signed term sheets.
- • Identify green-field verticals—restaked AI, RWAs, modular DA layers—and craft market-entry plays that position Symbiotic as the indispensable staking layer. You’ll scope regulatory landscapes, size TAM, and pitch executive teams on why Symbiotic beats every alternative.
- • Mentor and scale the BD function. You’ll codify playbooks, set up CRM hygiene, and hire/lead future reps while staying in the weeds on the highest-impact deals.
- • Champion a security-first, partner-centric culture. You’ll ensure every integration meets our audit standards and that partners feel supported from first call to mainnet launch and beyond.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in BD, partnerships, or strategic alliances—minimum 2 years in crypto/Web3 with a track record of closing high-value, multi-stakeholder deals.
- • Proven ability to manage complex sales pipelines, forecast accurately, and hit measurable KPIs in a fast-moving startup environment.
- • Deep fluency in blockchain infrastructure, DeFi mechanics, restaking, and developer ecosystems—comfortable discussing smart-contract architecture with CTOs and tokenomics with DAO governors.
- • Exceptional strategic and analytical skills: can structure token-based incentive schemes, model revenue-share economics, and align divergent stakeholder interests.
- • Outstanding communication and relationship-building—equally credible pitching to crypto-native builders and institutional executives.
- • Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and autonomous; willing to travel globally for conferences and partner meetings. NYC presence strongly preferred.
