- • Translate content between English and Nepali with precision, preserving cultural nuance, tone, and contextual relevance across digital platforms.
- • Edit and refine translated language content to ensure accuracy, fluency, and alignment with current language standards and usage trends.
- • Apply best practices in localization to adapt digital tools, applications, and marketing materials for Nepali-speaking markets.
- • Perform transcreation when required, creatively adapting source content to resonate naturally with the target audience beyond literal translation.
- • Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve the quality of AI-driven language models through human-reviewed corrections and annotations.
- • Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to support end-to-end content localization workflows for global digital products.
- • Support quality assurance processes for multilingual content, ensuring consistency, terminology accuracy, and brand voice integrity.
- • Contribute to diverse projects across high-impact industries including Life Sciences, IT, Marketing, Legal, and Finance.
- • Work independently as an independent contractor with full autonomy over schedule, workload, and project selection.
- • Deliver high-quality translations within agreed deadlines, maintaining a minimum commitment of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week when tasks are accepted.
- • Participate in domain-specific translation tests if required, demonstrating expertise in specialized terminology and industry-specific writing standards.
- • Engage with a global community of linguists and language professionals to advance human-machine communication through accurate, culturally aware content.
- • Maintain professional standards in all deliverables, ensuring clarity, correctness, and adherence to client-specific style guides or terminology databases.
- • Accept responsibility for managing personal tax obligations and compliance with local regulations as a 1099 contractor.
- • Work remotely from Nepal with no requirement to adhere to fixed work hours or daily check-ins.
- • Access a variety of innovative projects that expand professional expertise across multiple domains and technologies.
- • Contribute to cutting-edge AI and language technology that enables global access to information regardless of language barriers.
🎯 Requirements
- • Native-level proficiency in Nepali
- • ISO 17100 Certification Criteria: either a recognized graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies; OR a recognized graduate qualification in any other field plus two years of full-time professional translation experience; OR five years of full-time professional translation experience
- • Reliable availability and commitment to deliver tasks within deadlines with a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week
- • Access to stable internet and tools necessary for remote translation work
