📋 Description

• Translate complex content between English and native Telugu with precision, preserving cultural nuance, tone, and contextual relevance across digital platforms.
• Edit and refine translated material to ensure linguistic accuracy, stylistic consistency, and adherence to industry-specific terminology in domains such as Life Sciences, IT, Marketing, Legal, and Finance.
• Apply current language standards, usage trends, and best practices to all translation deliverables to maintain high-quality output.
• Evaluate and provide structured, actionable feedback to improve the performance and accuracy of AI language models through human-verified corrections.
• Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize digital tools, applications, and user interfaces for Telugu-speaking markets.
• Support end-to-end content development and quality assurance processes for multilingual AI-driven products and enterprise solutions.
• Perform transcreation when required, creatively adapting source text to ensure natural, culturally appropriate, and impactful communication in Telugu—going beyond literal translation.
• Maintain strict adherence to project deadlines and quality benchmarks for tasks assigned across varied domains and content types.
• Work independently as an independent contractor with full autonomy over schedule, workload, and project selection, without fixed hours or micromanagement.
• Contribute to a global community of linguists and language professionals shaping the future of human-machine communication through high-impact AI and localization projects.
• Access diverse, innovative translation projects that expand professional expertise across multiple industries and technologies.
• Deliver work consistently with a minimum commitment of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week, ensuring reliable availability and timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Operate as a self-directed contractor responsible for managing personal tax obligations, equipment, and work environment without employer-provided benefits.
• Participate in a streamlined onboarding process that includes submission of CV, domain-specific testing (if required), and completion of contractor onboarding forms to activate payment setup.
• Engage with Lilt’s platform to manage workflow, receive assignments, track progress, and submit deliverables through an intuitive digital ecosystem.

🎯 Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Telugu
• Graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies OR graduate qualification in any field plus two years of full-time professional translation experience OR five years of full-time professional translation experience
• Demonstrated ability to translate and edit content accurately across technical domains such as Life Sciences, IT, Marketing, Legal, or Finance
• Reliable internet connectivity and consistent availability of at least 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week
• Willingness to work as an independent contractor without guaranteed hours or employer-provided benefits
• Ability to pass domain-specific translation tests if required during the application process
