- • Review and edit Canadian French content within the Lilt platform to ensure high linguistic quality across AI systems, apps, and digital platforms.
- • Perform in-context User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating French-language content within live customer CMS or product environments to verify functional and visual accuracy.
- • Identify, document, and correct localization issues such as text truncation, layout overflow, spacing inconsistencies, punctuation errors, and other UI-related linguistic anomalies.
- • Ensure translated content is natural, accurate, and contextually appropriate when displayed in real-world product interfaces.
- • Implement approved linguistic edits directly within customer CMS environments when authorized, following established guidelines and permission protocols.
- • Conduct linguistic quality assurance (LQA) tasks specific to Canadian French, including terminology consistency, grammatical correctness, and cultural relevance.
- • Collaborate with global teams to provide feedback on AI-driven localization outputs, contributing to iterative improvements in machine translation and natural language processing models.
- • Deliver high-quality, timely outputs on assigned tasks with a minimum commitment of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.
- • Maintain strict adherence to project-specific style guides, glossaries, and quality standards provided by clients and Lilt.
- • Document all identified issues clearly and concisely, using standardized reporting formats to facilitate resolution by engineering and localization teams.
- • Participate in periodic quality reviews and feedback sessions to align with evolving project requirements and linguistic standards.
- • Work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple tasks across varied domains including enterprise software, government platforms, and AI applications.
- • Ensure all work complies with data security and confidentiality requirements outlined in client and company policies.
- • Contribute to a global community of linguists and language professionals advancing multilingual AI and human-verified language technologies.
- • Engage with diverse projects spanning industries such as healthcare, finance, technology, and public sector services to apply Canadian French expertise in real-world applications.
- • Maintain reliable availability to accept and complete tasks promptly, with no guaranteed workload but expectation of responsiveness upon task assignment.
- • Apply professional judgment to resolve ambiguous translations or cultural nuances in context, prioritizing user experience and functional correctness over literal translation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Native-level proficiency in French (Canada)
- • Strong command of English for reporting and communication
- • Experience in linguistic QA, localization testing, or UAT testing
- • Linguist qualification: Degree in linguistics, translation, languages, or related field OR 2+ years of experience in localization QA / linguistic testing OR 5+ years of professional language-related experience
