- • LIV Golf is revolutionizing the sport, and we are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Manager, Event Delivery to join our dynamic team in New York. As we enter our fourth season, LIV Golf continues to push boundaries, offering a unique blend of world-class golf, entertainment, and cultural experiences. Our league is the first truly global golf league, featuring 13 innovative teams competing for both individual and team titles at premier golf courses worldwide. We are dedicated to setting new standards in sports, redefining the fan experience through music and entertainment, and growing the game for a new generation of players and fans.
- • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving innovative, high-value procurement strategies and robust governance frameworks to ensure the successful planning and flawless execution of all LIV Golf events. You will partner closely with the SVP, Event Delivery and a wide array of cross-functional teams, ensuring that all indirect spend and vendor relationships directly contribute to seamless, impactful, and memorable event operations. This is an opportunity to shape the operational backbone of a groundbreaking sports league.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of strategic and operational tasks. You will collaborate extensively with the SVP, Event Delivery and our esteemed event management partners to deeply understand their requirements. This understanding will be translated into sophisticated sourcing strategies designed to maximize value and effectively mitigate risk. Building and nurturing strong, collaborative relationships across all LIV teams, external event agencies, and our diverse supplier network will be paramount to achieving operational excellence.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to actively contribute to the creation and rigorous adherence to a comprehensive tournament operations plan for each assigned event. This involves anticipating potential risks, meticulously managing supplier performance, and proactively addressing any challenges that may arise to guarantee absolute event readiness. You will take the lead on all departmental budget operations pertaining to your assigned events, from initial budget creation and ongoing management to clear and effective internal communication.
- • You will be empowered to control spend diligently and embed a culture of sustainable, year-on-year savings, with a clear focus on elevating overall event outcomes. Leading the procurement strategy and its execution for all event-related spend categories will be a core function. This includes overseeing procurement governance, implementing essential tools, and establishing robust reporting mechanisms to ensure strict compliance and support overarching organizational goals.
- • Furthermore, you will partner closely with our legal and finance departments to meticulously review contracts, identify opportunities for greater efficiencies, and ensure absolute accuracy in all financial and contractual matters. Assisting with the upkeep of standard operating procedure manuals, incorporating the latest best practices and continuous improvement strategies, will also be part of your remit. You will also oversee workflow reports on platforms like Monday.com, tracking key milestones for our event management companies.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in procurement or sourcing, ideally with direct exposure to large-scale events or complex sports operations. Demonstrated success in managing indirect spend and navigating intricate vendor relationships is essential. You should possess strong negotiation, data analysis, and reporting skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, allowing you to confidently partner with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- • Experience with procurement technology, governance frameworks, and KPI reporting is highly desirable. The ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is crucial for success in this role. You will thrive here if you excel at building strong, trusting relationships with a diverse range of partners, from event management companies and venues to sponsors, local leaders, and internal teams.
